Try some different sashing? Mmm nice but probably a bit busy, there’s no place for the eye to rest and yet I like it.

Not that butterflies buzz but butterflies going about their business, flittering around the flowers in your garden. I hope you can tell there are actually two different background fabrics in this design.

Dieppe 6 Quilt

Perhaps a straight set layout? I like it! There’s an optical illusing happening here, it looks like the quilt isn’t sitting straight on the page but it really is , honest.

Have you been watching the Phryne Fisher Mysteries? I think I’ve watched all of them to date and I’ve been enjoying it too! Did you see the lovely floor in the entranceway a few episodes ago? I’m not sure if it is carpet or tiles either but it certainly was a beauty. I’m guessing it’s in one of the National Trust buildings in Melbourne. Here’s my version.

Perhaps with sashing and moving those blocks around? Looking quite dramatic. I love stripes in a border and then it just has to be mitred.

It appears I have named quite a few quilts with the word ‘spinning’ in the title. Well I’m not worried if you’re not

I’ve been doing a lot of spinning around here lately, rushing here and there. Thankfully the Easter break is over and hopefully things will get back to normal shortly. A friend is running short of time and has asked me to quilt her grandson’s 1st birthday quilt for her, so that will slow me down a bit as well! I’m still unpicking some quilting I did last week when I knocked the tension dial on my machine. It just doesn’t rain around here it pours!
