Today I’ve been working on this block.  I still have to insert it into the background but once I’m started it shouldn’t take too long. I was worried there might not be enough contrast between the yellow and pink patches but I think it  looks good. The blue in the middle circle seems to set it off nicely. Don’t worry if it isn’t sitting straight in the background square, as I said, it’s not set in yet.

Here is block number 3. Unfortunately things are slowing down here with the Christmas rush, or can I say Christmas madness. For accuracy this block is completely hand pieced.

I’m still enjoying these fabrics together, that’s always a good sign isn’t it?

This is block number 2 of my proposed Advanced Sampler Quilt for teaching, possibly next year. This block actually took quite a bit more time to assemble than I thought it would. I’m very pleased with it though. The yellows have come up a bit brighter than they actually are. The deeper yellow is actually more a golden colour.

A few weeks ago I had this hungry visitor at my place. Sometimes we have 2 or even 3. One day a couple of months ago we had 6 of them all fighting for the seed tray. Occasionally they bring their partners with them but generally they’re on their own.

I was so impressed I drew up an EQ version as well. Perhaps that bird seed needs a bit more attention though!
