I’ve been toying with the idea of submitting an entry for the Electric Quilt Monthly Challenge. This month’s challenge is 20 (celebrating 20 years of EQ). As usual I have turned off at a different fork in the road, my attention being drawn elsewhere. I have designed a couple of quilts for the challenge but this morning I can’t remember what I named one of them!
Thank goodness I can finally add links to my posts, no idea what the problem was but they’ve finally fixed it!
Here’s a version of the different design I’ve been working on. I’ve been struggling with a colour choice which will enhance the design so I’ve chosen something with high contrast instead.
I’ll post my challenge designs later in the week.
I’m going to try and baste a baby quilt this afternoon. No one specific in mind, I found some lovely fabric by Australian designer Melanie Hurlston of Melly and me. It features cute monkeys, elephants and bees. I couldn’t resist and thought I’d make something for future grandchildren, great nieces and nephews etc so I wouldn’t be caught short. My last great nephew is already one year old and he is still awaiting his welcome gift. I have a top completed and have to base and quilt that one too. So many quilts sew little time!
