Today I have decided to give you a break from my pickle dish series of quilts. I do still have more to come. As you see it is another blue and white quilt drawn in EQ5. I have seen pictures of quilts like this made in red and white and they look really good too. I’ll have to start working on some quilts in different colourways won’t I?

Believe it or not this is the same positive block rotated and the centre coloured. I like this one. It is a very graphic design and looks amazing. Looks like fish to me. If I made this I would re-design the  block however, no need to have curves in the middle is there?

In the first version I have used all negative blocks and  re-arranged them to design this.


and in this quilt I have used both positive and negative blocks


In both quilts I see apple cores and propellers!

Lancaster Roses

I wanted to design a woven border and although not exactly what I had in mind it is quite effective. It does frame the quilt nicely but I am not sure it is the border for this quilt.

This is a quilt I designed several years ago in EQ5. It is an interesting but not stunning design. A different colour palate could possibly enhance the design further.
